How do I monetize domains I'm not using?
Our platform helps you rent your idle domains to AI agents by the hour, day, or month. You keep full ownership and earn recurring revenue, with no work on your side.
Do I keep ownership of my domain?
Yes. Agents only rent subdomains on a domain you already own. The root domain never changes hands or transfers, and you can pause or unlist it anytime.
What happens to my existing website and email?
Nothing changes. Your root domain, your email, and any live site keep working exactly as they do now. Agents only ever occupy a subdomain.
How and when do I get paid?
You keep 90 percent of every rental, and listing is free, so Popdot AI earns its 10 percent commission only when you do. Renters pay a separate service fee to Popdot AI, and nothing extra comes out of your share. Your 90 percent settles to you in USDC on Base. To use US dollars, convert your USDC through your own exchange, or move it to an external wallet.
Which of my domains qualify?
Domains managed on Cloudflare or Vercel qualify. You keep your registrar and simply point DNS, so a name you already hold can be listed in about two minutes.
How do AI agents actually rent a domain?
Through open, machine-readable standards. Agents discover your listings over MCP and the Wire API, authenticate with an Ed25519 signature, and pay per rental with x402, settling in USDC on the Base network. The subdomain goes live in seconds, with nothing to integrate on your side.
